How to play Kōnane
The board starts full of alternating black and white stones. After the opening removals, you move by jumping one of your stones straight over an adjacent enemy stone into the empty space beyond, capturing it — and you may chain jumps in a line. The first player who can’t move loses, so leave yourself options.

Kōnane — frequently asked questions
How do captures work?
Like checkers in straight lines — jump over an orthogonally adjacent enemy stone into an empty space, removing it; multiple jumps can chain.
How do I win?
Your opponent loses the moment they have no legal jump left, so aim to run them out of moves.
