Hearts
Duck the hearts and dodge the Queen of Spades in this classic trick-taking card game.
How to play Hearts
You play against three computer opponents over several rounds. Each round you pass three cards to another player, then play thirteen tricks — you must follow the suit that was led if you can. Every heart you take is worth one point and the Queen of Spades is worth thirteen, so the goal is to take as few points as possible. If you manage to take all the point cards you "shoot the moon" and everyone else takes 26 instead. The game ends when someone reaches 100 points, and the lowest score wins.

Hearts — frequently asked questions
How do I win at Hearts?
Hearts is a low-score game: the player with the fewest points when someone hits 100 wins. Avoid taking hearts (1 point each) and especially the Queen of Spades (13 points).
What does "shooting the moon" mean?
If you take every single point card in a round — all 13 hearts and the Queen of Spades — you score zero and each opponent is charged 26 points instead. It is risky but can flip a losing game.
Why can't I play the card I want?
You must follow the suit that was led if you hold it, hearts cannot be led until they have been "broken" by being played on another suit, and the first trick starts with the two of clubs. Only the highlighted cards in your hand are legal.
