Privacy Policy

Inkplay ("we", "the site") is a free browser-games portal operated by Buggbyte Studios. This page explains what information the site handles and why. The short version: you can play every game without an account, and we collect as little as possible.
What we collect
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which games people play and how the site performs (pages visited, approximate region, device type). This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.
- Advertising. The site shows ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or device identifiers to serve and measure ads; where required (EEA, UK, Switzerland) you will see a consent message first and can decline personalised ads. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
- Optional Google sign-in. If you log in (via Firebase Authentication) we receive your Google account's basic profile: name, email address, and avatar. We use it only to identify your account.
- Game data. Scores, favorites, playtime, and reactions you create are stored: on your device (localStorage) always, and in our database (Cloud Firestore) when you are signed in, so they sync across devices and can appear on per-game leaderboards under your first name.
- InkPlay Points. When you are signed in, your play activity on the site earns InkPlay Points. To run the program we store your points balance together with your account email and approximate country. Points have no monetary value and exist purely for fun and future rewards.
- Approximate region. The "Trending in your country" section uses your request's country code only (never precise location).
What we do NOT do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not require an account, and we do not collect passwords (sign-in is handled entirely by Google).
- We do not knowingly collect personal information from children; the games are general-audience and playable without any account.
Cookies & local storage
Local storage keeps your preferences and offline best scores on your device; you can clear it any time in your browser settings. Cookies are used by Google Analytics and Google AdSense as described above. In the EEA/UK/CH, the consent tool lets you manage ad cookies.
Your rights, choices & contact
You can play signed-out, clear local data in your browser, manage ad personalisation at Google Ads Settings, and reopen the ad-consent dialog any time via the Privacy settings link in the footer. Depending on where you live (e.g. GDPR in the EEA/UK, CCPA in California) you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data, and to opt out of "sale"/"sharing" (we don't sell personal information in the first place).
To exercise any of these rights or delete your account data (scores, favorites, points), email feedback@inkplay.io from the address you signed in with, or use the Buggbyte Studios contact form, and we will remove it promptly.
Retention: account-linked data is kept while your account exists and deleted on request; analytics data is retained per Google Analytics' standard controls.
We may update this policy as the site evolves; changes appear on this page with a new date.
