How to play Yoté
You each hold a reserve of stones. On your turn either drop a new stone onto any empty square or move one orthogonally. Capture by jumping straight over an adjacent enemy stone into the empty space beyond — and every capture lets you also pluck a second enemy stone of your choice from the board. Reduce your opponent until they can’t fight back.

Yoté — frequently asked questions
Why is each capture worth two stones?
Jumping removes the stone you leap, and as a bonus you immediately remove any one other enemy stone — so captures swing the game hard.
Do I place all my stones first?
No — you choose each turn whether to drop a new stone or move one already on the board.
