Defender
Fly the scrolling planet, blast the landers, and save your people.
How to play Defender
You patrol a planet that scrolls and wraps around forever. Thrust ←/→ and fly ↑/↓, then press Space (or the FIRE button on mobile) to shoot the alien landers that swoop in. Landers dive to snatch the humanoids walking on the ground and carry them off the top — blast a lander before it escapes to keep your people. Clear every lander in a wave for a bonus. You have three ships; use the radar strip at the top to see threats across the whole world.

Defender — frequently asked questions
What are the little figures on the ground?
They are the humanoids you protect. Landers try to grab them and carry them off the top of the screen — shoot the lander to stop it, and the wave gets harder the more people you lose.
What is the radar strip at the top?
It is a mini-map of the entire wrapping world. Bright ticks are your people, dots are enemy landers, and the white marker is your ship, so you can spot danger even off-screen.
How do I score points?
You earn points for every lander you destroy, plus a large bonus each time you clear a full wave. Your best score is saved and posted to the leaderboard when you log in.
Is Defender free to play?
Yes — Defender is completely free on Inkplay, with no download, no sign-up, and no in-game purchases. Open the page and play instantly on desktop or mobile.
Can I play Defender unblocked?
Yes. Defender runs entirely in your browser with no download, install, or plugins, so it loads instantly and keeps working even on school or work networks where bigger game sites get blocked.
