Ink Swarm

Outlast ten minutes of monster swarms. Your ink weapons fire themselves.

How to play Ink Swarm

Swipe (or use the arrows) to move

You are a bright ink wisp in a dark arena, and the swarm never stops coming. Move with WASD or the arrow keys (on a phone, press and drag anywhere to steer with a virtual stick) and let your weapons do the shooting: they aim and fire at the nearest monsters on their own, so your whole job is positioning. Every kill drops a glowing XP gem; walk near one and it flies to you. Fill the XP bar to level up, which pauses the fight and deals you three upgrade cards: new weapons like Orbit Blades, Nova Ring, Pierce Arrow and Spirit Flame, or boosts like Swift Boots, Gem Magnet and Heart Core, each with several levels. Monsters get tougher every minute and a mini-boss with its own health bar crashes in every two minutes. Touching enemies drains your health, and the run ends when it hits zero. Survive the full ten minutes to win. Score is your survival time plus kills, and your best time goes on the leaderboard.

Ink Swarm: frequently asked questions

How do I attack in Ink Swarm?

You don’t press anything to attack: every weapon aims and fires automatically at nearby monsters. Your skill is in movement: dodge the swarm, herd it into your orbiting blades and nova rings, and sweep up the XP gems your kills leave behind.

How do upgrades and level-ups work?

Kills drop XP gems. When the XP bar fills, the game pauses and offers three random cards: a new weapon or a level of one you own (Ink Bolt, Orbit Blades, Nova Ring, Pierce Arrow, Spirit Flame), or a boost (Swift Boots speed, Gem Magnet pickup radius, Heart Core max health). Weapons have up to five levels each, so every run builds differently.

How do I win a run?

Survive for ten minutes. Difficulty ramps the whole time: faster spawns, tougher monsters, and a mini-boss every two minutes, each with a visible health bar. If your health reaches zero first, the run ends and your score is your survival time plus your kill count.

Does Ink Swarm work on mobile, and is it free?

Yes. It runs free in your browser with no download or sign-up. On touch screens you press and drag anywhere on the arena to move with a virtual joystick, and upgrade cards are tapped. Everything else is automatic.

Is Ink Swarm free to play?

Yes. Ink Swarm is completely free on Inkplay, with no download, no sign-up, and no in-game purchases. Open the page and play instantly on desktop or mobile.

Can I play Ink Swarm unblocked?

Yes. Ink Swarm runs entirely in your browser with no download, install, or plugins, so it loads instantly and keeps working even on school or work networks where bigger game sites get blocked.
