How to play Slant

Every cell must hold a single diagonal line — either / or \. The numbers sit on the grid corners and tell you exactly how many diagonal ends should touch that corner. Click a cell to cycle it blank → / → \ → blank. Two extra rules: the diagonals may never form a closed loop, and to finish, every cell must be filled and every numbered corner satisfied. Solve it as fast as you can — lower times are better.

Slant — frequently asked questions

What do the corner numbers mean?

Each number counts how many diagonal line-ends meet at that corner. A 0 means no diagonal may touch it; a 4 means all four surrounding cells point into it.

Why is my grid full but not solved?

Your diagonals probably form a closed loop, which is not allowed, or a numbered corner has the wrong count. The status line warns you when a loop appears.

Is Slant free to play?

Yes — Slant is completely free on Inkplay, with no download, no sign-up, and no in-game purchases. Open the page and play instantly on desktop or mobile.

Can I play Slant unblocked?

Yes. Slant runs entirely in your browser with no download, install, or plugins, so it loads instantly and keeps working even on school or work networks where bigger game sites get blocked.
