Threes
Slide the tiles one step, pair 1 and 2 into 3, then double your way up.
How to play Threes
Swipe or press an arrow to slide every tile exactly one square in that direction, and a new tile appears from the opposite edge. A 1 and a 2 combine into a 3; after that, two matching tiles merge into their double (3+3 make 6, 6+6 make 12, and so on). Each tile can only merge once per move. The game ends when no slide would change the board, so leave yourself room to keep pairing.

Threes — frequently asked questions
How is Threes different from 2048?
Tiles move only one step per swipe instead of sliding all the way, and you start by pairing a 1 with a 2 to make 3 before the doubling begins. It rewards careful, deliberate moves.
When does the game end?
When no direction would move or merge any tile. Keep the board from filling up by planning merges and watching the incoming next tile.
Is Threes free to play?
Yes — Threes is completely free on Inkplay, with no download, no sign-up, and no in-game purchases. Open the page and play instantly on desktop or mobile.
Can I play Threes unblocked?
Yes. Threes runs entirely in your browser with no download, install, or plugins, so it loads instantly and keeps working even on school or work networks where bigger game sites get blocked.
